Weight Loss Journey Part Two and a Half

Unfortunately I haven't lost another half a stone this week. Which I was expecting because I've had a terrible (but delicious) few days food wise. But now that I have it out of my system I can begin this week with dedication.  Last week I did an exercise class called Les Mills Body Pump. Well, I had taken it once before and it left me severely aching for days but for some unknown reason I thought it may be different this time. Let me tell you it was NOT different ! I ached terribly for days and getting up and down the stairs was a nightmare! I definitely think this class is not for beginners or if you are new to weight training. Whilst I'm sure it would work wonders I have decided to give it a miss from now on as it basically ruins the rest of the week for me with the aching and muscle stiffness. I also have a fear of bulking up rather than losing weight with things like that even though I've been told it in fact burns more calories I just can't help but feel I v li

Moving Out and Interior Design

Many of you may of already been through and experienced moving out for the first time and some of you maybe have moved lots of times therefore what I'm about to cover will probably be a bit old hat to you! Although as you may of realised from my baby product post I am really passionate about the choices I make so there may be something of interest for all experience levels of moving house! This has been a long time coming for us and is somewhat overdue so I am a mixture of nerves and excitement and I wouldn't be being myself I wasn't ever so slightly stressed about the choices I have!  I have a rough idea about styles of decor that I would like. Admittedly some (most) of them are more suitable to a 5 bedroomed georgianesque mansion but oh well I will have to adapt won't I! Let's begin with the living room and color schemes; greys, silvers, whites, mirrors with a touch of something sparkley and shiny. That's what I am into at the moment and luckily it seems t

Weight Loss Journey Part Two

Hello Everyone! Well I've completed the first week of the diet and despite a few minor slip ups (finishing off Karmens pasta, oops!) I have lost half a stone again, the same one I lost and put back again before! So now the trick is staying as strict if not even stricter with the diet to not get stuck at this mark again.  Exercise wise I did the Total Cardio and Total Strength class as well as 2 sessions of a workout at home. I use the Sworkit app which is my favourite of all the exercise apps it uses high intensity interval training where you push yourself really hard for 30 seconds of each exercise then rest for 30 seconds before more exercises. This is basically getting your heart rate up really high and then allowing it to go back down before bringing it back up again. Now I'm no fitness or exercise expert by any mean as all but from what I gather, research and previous experience I think this form of working out is definitely the way to go. The difficult part is getting the

Diet Plan as Promised

Hello Everyone, So yes, I am ashamed to admit that I have not started my diet on Wednesday as planned, I know, I know, I must have zero willpower or motivation! The truth is there has simply been too much going on the past few days to even begin to think about starting and sticking to the diet. But I have no food arrangements coming up so tomorrow will be the day for me to start properly. I haven't been totally naughty though, Monday evening I attended a Total Workout Class followed by Total Strength Class so I don't feel as bad on myself as maybe I should. Here is the diet plan as promised in my earlier post: Breakfast Lunch Dinner Day 1 1 slice dry toast with tomato Fresh Fruit, any amount 2 hard boiled eggs, salad and grapefruit Day 2 Boiled egg and Grapefruit Grilled Chicken with tomatoes and 1 slice dry toast Grilled Steak and Salad Day 3 Boiled egg and Grapefruit Fresh Fruit, any amount 2 Grilled lamb chops, sa

Must Have Baby Products - Top Ten List

UPDATED So is this is slightly over due, however I am still really passionate about the products I chose for when I had my baby. There are literally so many choices when you are becoming a mum and it can really seem overwhelming and sometimes confusing as to which products are the best or which ones you really need, and indeed, which are a waste of money. I did alot of research whilst I was pregnant to find the exact things I wanted that were going to be the best choice for baby and also make my life as a new parent as easy as possible. So here is a list of some of my must have baby products. 1. The RedCastle Cocoonababy I cannot express how much I loved this mattress, it is a little pricey for what seems to be something you only use for a short time but in my opinion is more than worth it. The Cocoonababy is a sleep nest that helps to prevent reflux, flat head syndrome and the startle reflex. This was certainly the case for me and Karmen! She slept amazingly in it from day 1

Weight Loss Journey Part One

This is my first ever blog post, so forgive me if it's short or poorly written, hopefully it's still interesting! It's been over a year now since giving birth and I still have not shifted my baby weight. There really is no more excuses now, I know what I need to do the hard part is actually doing it! I have found a diet that works however it is difficult sticking to it, I will post the diet in a separate post, and if anyone had tried or is trying I would love to know your experiences! In the meantime, here is a link to where I originally found the  Diet Plan I will also be making exercise a big part of my weight loss mission now, that way if I do slip up I won't feel as bad as I can justify it with exercise! Here's the statistics, I have 28 lbs (2 stone) to lose in total ideally by the 14th December, which gives me 7 weeks to achieve my goal. Doing a calculation I should be losing 4lb per week. So here goes! (Beginning Wednesday by the way as I have a girl
